Ready or not

There are times when time seems still.
My baby is hugged to me.
I caress his hair, trace his face.
An emotion of love overwhelms me and I feel like crushing that little body with hugs.
There are precious times, when he comes for me.
To cuddle him, hug him, nurse him.
Where calls me 'mummy' with that sweet voice as if I were some goddess-his salvation.
But I feel him slipping.
Slipping away from me, his babyhood over.
He walks, makes his wants understood, he doesn't always nurse himself to sleep.
He's growing and I am not ready for that.

I'm sure its a wonderful feeling.. but don't be upset about him growing old.. every second, minute, hour, day, month, year counts because he will be next to two great parents - cherished, loved and cared for.

don't you worry. Each step along this journey is full of wonder...and joy....and even more love than you can imagine.

My daughter will turn 17 soon and I am not ready for that either. Time has gone by too fast.

Happy Valentine's Day!
A special note for you...
