Character building

I was reading one of my favourite blog today about home schooling and what stood out to me was this sentence:

Preschool is the age to build character- how to be obedient, how to persevere, how to focus.

And it made me realise that while it wasn't at the top front of my head it was what unconsciously I've been thinking myself.  It is why, this Summer among the normal home schooling stuff, I will be teaching yoga to my kids and lots of games where you have to wait, take turns, focus and never give up the hope to win.
